What is the Executive Leadership Council?

Executive Leadership Council (ELC) is a powerful learning community for government executives as well as senior leaders in the federal government. In ELC, you will be inspired, challenged, and motivated by a community of peers and world-class experts to make change happen. We are passionate about creating the conditions and providing the tools you also need to be successful in your work.

Executive Leadership Council is a non-profit organization that offers networking and coaching opportunities to business executives. Not only do they help them learn more about leadership, but they also help the executives improve their skills in communication and dynamic management. For everything from small businesses to big corporations, this is a useful tool.

Membership Eligibility For Executive Leadership Council

Executive Leadership Council is a professional association of executives, entrepreneurs, business professionals, and academics. The organization has members all across the globe. Its mission is to provide a platform for its members to exchange ideas, new perspectives, learning, and assistance. The forum also provides a platform for networking and learning from fellow members. To be eligible for consideration for membership the candidate must meet any or more of the following

  • Black senior-level executive which is defined as CEO, C.-suite executives, and those that report directly to the C-suite executive (i.e. within two positions of the overall CEO) in the Fortune 1000/Global 500 company or any other company that generates comparable annual revenue
  • Senior-level black executive according to the above definition, working at an organization that provides professional services comparable to an organization that is Fortune 1000/Global 500.
  • Black executive on the board of directors of a Fortune 1000/Global 500 company or similar
  • Black businessman of a top business with a minimum annual revenue of $200 million

Recommendation & Candidate Process

To be granted an application for membership The candidate must:

  • Get a nomination to be considered for membership through an ELC member who is also in good standing.
  • You must meet one of the initial requirements for membership.
  • Also, Get Membership Committee approval.

Membership Application And Requirements

If any of the above conditions for membership eligibility is met, and the applicant has been extended, the applicant must:

  • Complete the application, including 2 (2) letters of recommendation received from ELC members who are also in good standing.
  • Interview with one of the Membership Committee members.

If accepted to be an ELC member the newly accepted member will need to:

  • Meet the dues requirements.
  • Participate in orientation as well as induction sessions.
